Yerba mate - Alternative to coffee or are the Brazilians trying to hog all the beans?

I'm living here in Brazil, in one of the world’s great coffee producing countries in the heart of the continent of coffee, South America and I am surrounded by near non coffee drinkers! What is going on here!? Oh sure, the Brazilians drink coffee, don't get me wrong, but I find an alternative to coffee often forced upon me. Chimarrão is the name the Brazilians have given this herbal infusion and I have to admit, I like it. The taste takes a moment to get accustom to, as it surely isn't even close to coffee, and I'll tell you, I'm not a green tea type at all. I love my coffee, but WoW! does the Brazilian Chimarrão pack a stimulant’s punch.

You can find sites all over the internet talking about this new-old beverage from the South Americans. Some make some wild claims, but I'll tell you something, it is a great alternative. I can drink more of it and the flavour is amazing. I have no need to add sugar, like I often do to my coffee and, best of all, I'm not all dehidrated, jittery and wigged out from too much of it. Just evenly "perked". You can read all the medical claims. Lots of vitamins and minerals and antioxidants and those things. Whatever, I like it and it is definitely been added to my assorted drinks list. Hope some of you get to try it too.

Ok, so I dove into setting up a blog site and I hardly know what it is. I figure it must be a good thing because I see so many people have them. Now I'm set up and I have nothing to write aboutt. Is it a problem with me and my life? Am I mal-adjusted? Or am I now caught in a vicious cycle of want and not need? Help me please.
